NH Ciudad Real

Arrival OK. Central location with parking. A very friendly reception. The room was ready on time (15:00hs). We found the room with bad smell. Spoke to the clean leady and where advised to open the window. After we settle I opened the bed, and found the linen with blood stains. They were stains in many places on 3 sheets. The lower one, the upper one and one more that covers the mattress. This time I ask for the Supervisor. They change the sheets. After that I found white stains on the bidet cover and something brown stuck to the phone in the bathroom. (Everything documented by photos). So, we went out, informed the front desk and mailed them the photos. On my return we were informed that the Manager and the Supervisor were in our room, and everything is now clean! We were unable to open the door because the keys (both) stopped working. After replacement, the linen was changed again, but the stains at the bidet and the brown object at the phone were still there!!! Very noisy night. Insulation is terrible. Every movement on the next room or use of the bathroom is into our room!! After breakfast spoke with the Manager. Visit to the room with Supervisor. They minimize the matter but clean the bidet and the phone. In the afternoon, room key again stops working. I wrote a letter to the Manager, and when I reach reception to check if the receive It, the Manager told me that she was reading “the testament”. They give us parking for free. Second day room key again fail

Normal excellent NH standard. Good location for city centre and the Don Quixote / Cervantes Museum (which could do with some texts in English!). Very good breakfast buffet at a reasonable price - freshly cooked if you want eggs etc. Reception staff speak good English.

The receptionist when we arrived was so friendly and welcoming, gave us some good tips on where to eat and what to see. This hotel has to have the easiest hotel parking I have ever encountered in Spain! So near everything of interest. We didn’t eat in. The room was big and spacious, with a comfortable bed, the cleaning staff were a jolly lot as well. Two little points. The wardrobe (412) only had one sliding door, and the glass in that was cracked, I assume the other had been removed as it had been more badly damaged. The corridor needs brightening up, looks more like a detention centre.

Very unhappy that we could not access the hotel on our arrival due to roads being closed off as the annual carnaval was taking place. We could not park anywhere nearby due to the busyness, so had to drive out of the city and waste away a couple of hours until the roads reopened. Had the hotel had the courtesy to inform us in advance, we could have planned our arrival time accordingly and used our time to better. The hotel was apologetic and did not charge for using the underground car park, but it quite spoiled our visit. On top of that, the superior room was very basic, small and warm, though the bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was nicely laid out, but the two staff members were concentrating on a group booking in a side room. Hence the coffee machine had run out, the jug of hot milk had disappeared and there was no bottle opener for the milk shake drink. Once attended to the staff were friendly despite being stretched between two rooms.

A special mention to the staff that runs the hotel in a smooth way for the benefit of their guests. Nothing is a problem for them, making the guest feel at home. Having said that, the hotel is centrally located with good size rooms and clean bathrooms. A fridge with drinks and a safe are available in the room. Breakfast is decent with some warm choices. It was a good idea to have a microwave oven in the breakfast room in case you want something warmer; I miss that in most hotels. If there is a drawback is the hard bed, but it is not a problem at this hotel, but in most NH hotels. The pillow was quite good, though.

Servicio correcto y agradable . Ropa de cama y toallas excelentes. Habitacion y cuarto de baño muy limpios. Es una excelente hotel de ciudad no solo por su ubicacion sino tambien por la calidad de su servicio. El parking de facil acceso y absolutamente necesario.
